惠特妮·休斯顿（Whitney Houston），1963年8月9日出生于美国新泽西州纽华克市，美国女歌手、演员。
二十世纪八十年代早期，惠特妮担任模特工作，出现在杂志封面和广告上。1983年，她被克莱夫·戴维斯发掘，并于1985年2月14日发行首张同名专辑，根据Nielsen SoundScan统计，共售出2500万张，成为最畅销的处女专辑。1987年发行第二张专辑《Whitney》，空降并蝉联了11周告示牌专辑榜冠军，专辑诞生了以《I Wanna Dance With Somebody(Who Loves Me)》为首的四张冠军单曲。

美国洛杉矶时间2012年2月11日，惠特妮在比弗利山庄希尔顿酒店因药物过量，导致心脏病发滑入浴缸溺水而意外逝世，年仅48岁。
