《The End Of The World》（世界末日），原唱美国著名乡村音乐女歌手史琪特•戴维丝（Skeeter Davis） ，被评为当年（1963年）最受欢迎的歌曲，被无数人翻唱过，但无人能及她原唱的魅力，这首歌也是她唯一的传世之作。这首最简单道出了失恋之情的歌曲经典而永久。2009年的电影《美国情事》(An Amercian affair) 选择《the end of the world》作为片尾曲，直抵人心的伤感 。

翻唱过的歌手有苏珊大妈，藤田惠美，陈百强，雷安娜，周华健，品冠，陈奕迅等等，较为人知的中文翻唱为当红香港歌手邓紫棋去年演唱的《后会无期》，为同名电影主题曲，中文歌词由韩寒创作。
