Shanghai pop fans have yet another reason to mark down 2015 as a good one - British pop star Robbie Williams is penciled in to make his Shanghai debut at the Mercedes-Benz Arena this September.
He's one of the biggest stars of the last couple of decades in his home country, where he's equaled Elvis Presley's record of 11 number one albums, won 17 Brit Awards and set ticket records too with 1.6 million sold in a single day.
He got his first taste of fame as a member of boy band Take That in the early 90's, but found much bigger success solo with hits like 'Angels', 'Let Me Entertain You ', 'Millennium' and 'Kids'. You can expect to hear all of them, some covers and a few numbers from his last album 'Swing Both Ways' – he has a habit of dipping in to flashy swing music in addition to his output as a straight up pop star.
Tickets are scheduled to go on sale TODAY! April 20 at 14:00 from Damai.cn. It's always hard to gauge demand for these sorts of shows over here, but there's a chance these might go kind of fast, so could be worth keeping an eye on.
